I have been in a member of the health care field since 1991 when I started nursing school. I have been a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing since 1993 and have practiced in many fields including gerontology, pediatrics, acute care, rehab, and primary care. I have taught diabetics how to bring their blood sugars down and helped preemies learn how to breathe without ventilators and sat with families while their loved ones died. With all of this nursing experience, you might ask why did I become a massage therapist?? The answer is quite simple- because I have spent hours giving people pills for a living and I knew there had to be a better way. So, one day, I enrolled in the medical massage program at Cincinnati State and worked night shift while going to school during the day. I graduated with my Associate Degree in Integrated Medical Massage Therapy in April of 2010 and have held an active license ever since passing my Ohio Medical Board exam. In December 2017, 16 years after starting my degree, I completed my Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Cincinnati. After years of doing volunteer work for events and organizations and working as a nurse it is finally time to use what I have learned to help others while living my own dream...after all, I am a firm believer that it is never too late.
